After a courageous battle with cancer, Nelia passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London with family and friends by her side, on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the age of 42. Cherished wife and best friend of Mat Thompson for over 19 years. Proud mom of Daimin. Beloved daughter of Jose and Rosalina Cabral. Daughter-in-law of Doug and Sandra Thompson. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Jose and Laurie Cabral, Paul and Sheila Cabral, Cherie Rudy, Kristy Thompson, and Bob and Tabitha Thompson. Aunt Nelia will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Nelia’s love for the sunshine and the beach will shine through all of those who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. She was a connoisseur of fine chocolate. Above all, was her love and devotion to her family, friends and her furry companions.
A celebration of Nelia’s life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Saturday, September 26th from 1 – 4 PM. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, each person must RSVP with a time to attend the celebration. Please click “Register Now” below to register.
