October 20, 1944 – June 9, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sharron Mae Godin, who lived a full life of 81 years. Sharron passed away peacefully and calmly at Parkwood Hospice in London, Ontario. Her family will miss all the things that made Sharron special – her love of family, her love of the holidays, the thoughtful greeting cards she sent to everyone for every occasion, her laughter, and her stubborn independence and insistence on living life on her own terms.
Sharron was a loving Mother to Kevin Godin (Deanna), Tim Godin (Alison), and Michelle Guerreiro (Arsenio). She was Grandma to Emma Desnoyers (Nathan), Benjamin Godin, Zachary Godin (Chantelle), Spencer Godin, Cooper Godin, and Hannah Godin. Sharron was also a doting Great Grandma to Jack Desnoyers. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Violet (Anderson) Rogers.
Sharron was a loving sister to Bertha Vickerman (Don), Barb Phillips (Wayne), and Walter Rogers (Judy). Predeceased by her siblings Alfred (Sonny) Rogers (Marg), Richard (Snooky) Rogers (Helen), Jean Rivard (Clark), Kenneth Rogers (Odette), Art Rogers, Betty Maynard (Casey) and Judy Middleton (Gary). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews whose lives she touched with wonderful memories.
Cremation has taken place. Honouring Sharron’s wishes, there will be a graveside memorial for family and friends on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11 AM at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Chatham, Ontario (75 Maple Leaf Drive). For those in attendance, please consider celebrating Sharron’s life and memory by avoiding all black attire.
In lieu of flowers or a Celebration of Life event, the family would very much appreciate donations in Sharron’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the many people who worked so hard to make Sharron’s last days as easy and pain-free as possible: Nurse Marilyn at LHSC CCTU, Dr. Ryan at Kensington Village, Dr. Cornelia and Dr. Bhojani at LHSC Victoria Hospital, Social Worker Victoria Mills at LHSC Victoria Hospital, Dr. Schreier and Nurse Practitioner Fran Fernandez at LHSC Victoria Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Nurses PJ, Renee, and Patrick at Parkwood Hospice, Dr. Andrejevic at Parkwood Hospice and to the countless others not known to us on Sharron’s care team(s).

We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 6 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Grand Bend, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich).
