Peacefully, at Parkwood Hospital, on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at the age of 87. Dear husband of the late Loretta (Brodhagen) Bennewies (1994) and the late Barbara (Fraiser) Bennewies (2013). Dear father of Sheryl and Steve Small of London, Murray and Michelle of Winthrop, Donald and Dianne of New Brunswick, Christine and Ron Fleischauer of Brodhagen, Greg and Marnie of Matheson, Lisa and Steve Fraser of Stratford. Missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Dear brother of Shirley and Claude Stewart, Wayne, Barry, Joanne Knights, Roger and Yvonne, Dan and Carol, Bonnie and Doug Holcomb and brother-in-law Bill Wilds. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Susan (Neabel) and Edwin Bennewies, sister Mavis, brother Keith, grandson Brandon and several siblings-in-law. Special thank you to Lynn and Bob Snell for their continued support. Dad enjoyed a lengthy career with Boiler Smith in Seaforth. He was known for his great sense of humour and liked nothing better than teasing his grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Great memories! He will be deeply remembered and forever in our hearts. Cremation has taken place.

Benny’s Celebration of Life will be held on June 17, 2023 from 2-4PM at the Seaforth Legion Downstairs.

Cremation and Celebratons, ARVA entrusted with arrangements. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to  the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
