DELAURIER-PENDER: Carrie of Parkhill

DelaurierPender, Carrie MAIN W300

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carrie Onita Delaurier-Pender (née Delaurier). Carrie passed peacefully on Wednesday November 15, 2023, surrounded by family. Survived by her loving husband, George Pender, treasured mother of Ryan Labrèche (Daphne), and will be missed by her step-children Bethany (Nathan) Lepage and Meghan Pender. Carrie was the daughter of the late William Delaurier and Dorothy Delaurier (née Peever) who raised Carrie along with her two siblings, Delanda (Dave) Jones, Vance (Lisa) Delaurier.

Missed by nieces and nephews along with her great niece and nephew, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her will miss her deeply.

She filled hungry bellies at Carrie’s Country Kitchen, where people from near and far came for the food and stayed for her charm. You could always find Carrie crafting and creating beautiful keepsakes, which we will hold onto for years to come.

Carrie was a loving soul who put others first and made sure everyone was well taken care of. Her heart was as big as her smile, and her smile was as bright as the sun. Carrie was born to be an angel, and now she can take her place in Heaven, with her mother and father.

The family would like to thank the incredible staff at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for their kind, compassionate support and service, as well as assisting the family during this extremely difficult time.

The cremation has already taken place. To respect Carrie’s wishes, there will be no celebration of life. Cremation & Celebrations, ARVA entrusted with arrangements. If desired, a donation can be made to the Canadian Lung Association or Humane Society London & Middlesex.

Rest easy, Mom.
