I have know Rosemary since public school days, She used to chum with a sister of my best friend. We met at special functions on the farm and at baseball games of our two schools, Braemar and S.S.number 2. Over the years I admired Rosemary’s pleasant disposition , constant smile, and making us feel included.
When my sister 11 years younger was born I begged my parents to name her Rosemary, and they kindly obliged.
Time flew by ,I happily found myself teaching in Braemar school in the Hough corner. of the Braemar hills. We had some contact at the time, but our real story began in 1991 when we bought the school house as our home.
This was the beginning of many special times in the corner and area ,of visits, dinners, and developing friendships.
Rosemary particularly enjoyed our visits with 4 Amish sister who were friends of my parents. We used to take picnic lunches to the Millbank area and they would come to visit with our group of ladies. They appreciated Rosemary’s quiet and sincere ways.
We also bonded each July 1 st when we celebrated through a progressive dinner.
Rosemary also joined in each birthday celebration always contributing her delicate homemade buns.
The last place we enjoyed Rosemary’s company was in Middlesex Terrace. She was chatting with our sister-in-law and Braemar was brought into the conversation. It was great to see her as comfortable and social there. she had many conversations with our sister-in-law and we always had a joy filled visit.
Rosemary shall be missed by everyone she met in her well lived life. Our sincere condolences.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Rosemary was a very kind neighbour and we became friends after I moved across the road . Occasionally we would get together and share a pot of tea, stories and a few laughs too. She and Ron were good folks to the rescue whether the lane was full of snow or when the hydro went out Rosemary would bring me a thermos of tea. Then being in the same room with both Rosemary and Fran we would have lots of laughs about childhood antics on the farm. She was a genuinely good person with a heart for both humans and dogs. May your good memories sustain you going forward.
