GIBB: William “Billy” of Ilderton formerly of Glasgow, Scotland

Gibb William Main W300

Passed peacefully at home with his family by his side after a brief illness, on June 1, 2021 at the age of 77. Devoted husband of Harriet (Hume) for 51 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Sharon and Rick Foster, and Barry Gibb. Adored papa of Lauryn; Callum, Sophie, and Alyssa. Loving brother and brother in law of May and Russell Murray. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and extended family in Scotland. Predeceased by parents Elizabeth (McLaughlin) and Edward Gibb.

Billy lived a full and rewarding life. He loved nothing more than being with his family in both Scotland and his current home in Canada. Over the years he and Harriet enjoyed their many travels and adventures together. Billy also loved having a few beers with the guys and watching his favourite football team the Glasgow Celtic. He will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor, quick wit, and love of fishing.

Although our hearts may be broken, the memories we share will never be forgotten and they will live on through his family, friends, and his 4 grand kids.

Cremation will take place on Friday, June 4, 2021. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation & Celebrations, ARVA (519-963-4003)

Donations to the London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated by the family.

Billy always had time for you, to share a laugh and a joke. Great character and true gent. Really pleased to hear he was able to continue making people smile in Canada as much as he did here in Scotland. Smiling as I think about Billy with great sadness for the family.
