GOODWIN: Jane Anne of Ilderton

Passed away peacefully at LHSC – University Hospital, London on Tuesday, February, 23, 2021 in her 78th year.  Loving wife of Harry Goodwin.  Dear sister of Ed and Helen Ard of Kelowna, B.C. Predeceased by her by her parents Rev. Fred (1975) and Olive (1991) Risdon, and twin sister Joan Olive Risdon.  She will also be missed by niece Nancy (John) Ferguson and nephews Bill Ard (Liz), Robert Ard (Bernie), Brian Ard (Ann), and Barry Ard (Claire) and their families.  Jane enjoyed paper embroidery and greeting card making and her cards were cherished by everyone.  Jane enjoyed cruising and travelling west to visit family.  She loved to sit and watch seaplanes coming and going in the inner harbour in Victoria. 

Cremation has taken place and an interment will be held in the Birr United Church Cemetery at a later date. 

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society – Wheels of Hope would be appreciated by the family.

    Our sincere condolences Harry. We will miss meeting Jane for lunch at Snug Harbour, in Stratford and at Anna Mae’s. We will also miss her cards and the caring they represented. Somewhere, she is sitting by the water watching the float planes.

    Harry, I have such fond memories of our times cruising the world with you and Jane. I smile thinking about all the laughter we shared and the wonderful places we visited. Jane was always such a wonderful travel companion and I know that she was an even better life companion for you. She will be sorely missed.

    My dear brother, we are so very sorry for your loss of a wonderful wife and partner, we have always cherished Jane and will miss her amazing cards she would send us for all occasions. We know that you loved her and she also knew that you loved her, that’s what counts. You meant a lot to Jane cause of your love for her. Always know we are there for you 💕💋. Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 6 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Grand Bend, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $3/km (one way travel only).

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
