Edna Catherine Loney (nee Giroux), born January 24th, 1939 in Ansonville Ontario, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, March 7th, 2025.
Edna was pre-deceased by her husband; Robert “Bob” Loney, parents; Arthur and Eva Giroux and siblings; Romeo, Mona, Lorraine, and Arthur.
Left behind to mourn are sons; Robert “Mark” (Cheryl) and John (Linda) and daughter; Mary Ann., grandsons; Eric (Susan), Ryan and granddaughter; Adelaide, great granddaughter; Eleanor, sister-in-law; Dorothy “Dot” (Jim) Smith and grand pups; Bailey and Shelby.
The family would like to also thank Celina, Sarah (Paramed) and Doctors Potvin, Hannah and Johnson for all of their care and compassion for Edna throughout her illness and into her final hours.
Cremation has taken place.

Edna was a delight, and always had a kind word for those around her. She will be missed.

Your mother was a very special lady with a beautiful heart, so kind, so thoughtful and so supportive. I have many fond memories of her while I grew up with you in Timmins.
She helped, as John would say, “with Bobby Bones” to raise quite a crew of Loney’s with plenty to be proud of.
