It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Lori at Parkwood Hospital, London on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the age of 84. Lori was a loving mother to Mark and his wife, Allison, and a proud and devoted grandmother to Emma. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Willard, to whom she was married for over 63 years, and her mother, Dorothy Reiko. Lori will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Lori was always up for a laugh with friends and had an immense love and talent for crochet. She and Willie found great joy in watching their beloved Emma play hockey.
We wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible support and care provided by the Parkwood Hospital Palliative Care staff during Lori’s final days. Your dedication and kindness made a significant difference during this challenging time. Additionally, we would like to acknowledge the contribution of Jill Kennedy Tufts, the Music Therapist, whose efforts brought immense comfort to Lori. Your music truly touched her heart and provided solace. A thank you also goes out to Martha Karn and her team from Waterloo Region Health at Home for their excellent support and care. Your assistance was invaluable and greatly appreciated. Finally, Deb Hines, your friendship meant the world to Lori. We are deeply grateful for your years of companionship and support.
Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation – Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

We at the Mill Courtland Community Centre in Kitchener are so sorry to hear of the passing of Lori. Throughout the last few years Lori knitted us multiple boxes full of stuffed animals, hats, mitts and slippers. We saw the pleasure her knitting brought to the families at Christmas through our Angel Tree give away program. We still have a boxful of Lori’s knitting for this Christmas that Lori knitted until she could no longer do it. She was a very special person that did so much to put a smile on all those who received her beautiful hand made items. Our sincere sympathy to Lori’s family.
