NADEAU: Marilyn Joan (Bennett) of London

Nadeau Marilyn New W300

Our beautiful mother, our guiding light, shines no more. Marilyn Joan Nadeau, born in 1933, was the loving daughter of Franklin and Irma Bennett. Marilyn’s fascinating journey of eighty-eight years ended peacefully amidst the loving voices and caring comfort of her cherished children. A force to be reckoned with, adversity and challenge were no match for Marilyn. Beating a surgical mishap and polio as a child she went on to nurture two husbands, five children and countless animals while still finding time to break glass ceilings in the professional world.

She built furniture, she built fences, she sailed boats, she traveled the world, and that’s just the start of the list.  Marilyn exuded love and a joy for life, she affected all who were blessed by her presence and left her mark on many hearts. Mom always said that passing was to be celebrated, to be considered as “graduating”. Congratulations Mom, Happy Graduation!  You worked hard for your “diploma”.  Enjoy your rest, may it be blessed and peaceful.

Cherished in life and in memory by her surviving children and their mates, her grandchildren and their mates, her great-grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Marilyn is survived by her dear and loving sister Patricia (the other pea in the pod!). To all who have ever been a part of Marilyn’s remarkable journey and hold her memory dear, the family wishes peace and love.

To the wonderful staff at Extendicare thank you so very, very much for the warm and caring comfort that you provided our dear mother during her last years.
