Dan passed away at Kensington Village, London on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 in his 75th year. Cherished father of Ben O’Reilly (Tatiana Hrytsak) of Hamilton. Proud grandpa of Nathan O’Reilly. Dear brother and brother-in-law to the late Timothy O’Reilly and Janet O’Reilly of Sudbury. Treasured Uncle of Jessica O’Reilly (Christopher Gunville) and Shannon O’Reilly of Sudbury. Fondly remembered by ex-wife (and lifelong friend) Helen O’Reilly (Derrick Monk) of London, and her extended family.
Dan was coach to many an aspiring baseball star through North London Baseball over the years and was a fixture at hockey arenas throughout London. He worked with many great friends at Almatex Paints, Mail Boxes Etc., Cuddy Farms/Sun Valley Foods/Cargill Meats Canada and Voyageur Transportation. Effortlessly funny and charismatic, Dan’s stories always got people laughing.
Dan enjoyed watching hockey, baseball, football and formula 1, and discussing the highs (and lows) of his favourite teams. He loved family Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, in addition to weekend brunch. Every meal was enriched by his company.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held in Sudbury at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Meals on Wheels London (MOWL) would be appreciated by the family.

We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 6 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Grand Bend, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Danny was a great brother-in-law coming to visit our mother Annie Crozier and step-father William Crozier in Sudbury – it was always a nice visit and he definitely made us laugh with his many stories. He was a great father to Ben thru the years.
We will miss you Danny, Rest in peace. Love Rose and Andre Langlois
It’s a sad day. Dan was a great guy, coaching me for several years in baseball and cheering his son Ben and I on in hockey. The world lost a special person. Rest in Peace Dan
Rest In Peace Dan – Thank you for being a great brother in law and Uncle – Janet and Shannon O’Reilly
My wife, Nancy, and first I met Dan & Helen when we both purchased our first houses on Winding Woods Crescent in London. We became good friends and had many good times together. Dan was always a fun loving guy who enjoyed life. Our condolences to the family on Dan’s passing.
