Passed at LHSC – University Hospital on April 17, 2021 at the age of 70. Cherished mother of Garett Hughes, the late Wesley Hughes, Paula Hughes and Kelvin Rono, and Rick Laforge. Adored grandmother of Brittany Hughes, Sarah Hughes, Bradley Hughes; Tyler Hughes, Chad Imhoff; and Wyatt Hughes. Great-grandmother to Thia, and Damien. Sister of Anita Monzerolle, Norman and sister-in-law Wendy Chiasson, Leonard Chiasson, Velma Chiasson, Rheal and sister-in-law Tina Dugas, and Muriel Azzam. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and cousins Lisa and Kevin Mooney. Predeceased by her grandson Bradley Hughes, brother Gerald Chiasson, and parents Leonard and Teresa Chiasson.
Marie enjoyed, gardening, hunting, cooking, sewing, watching a good movie, and quilting. Her favorite way to pass the time was to be outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, London. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation and Celebrations, ARVA (519-963-4003).
