Robert Lawrence “Larry” Cook was gathered into the arms of his Saviour on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from London Health Science Centre, Victoria Hospital in London; the cherished husband of Sue Cook who were married for a wonderful 39 years.
Larry was born on May 21, 1952, to Jack and Agnes Cook, and grew up in a large family, the loved brother to seven siblings—Gord (Sharon) Cook, Jan (Earl †) Sharpe, Ernie (Linda) Cook, Bruce (Virginia) Cook, Doug (Wendy) Cook, Bryan (Lucy) Cook, and Glen (Manon) Cook. A loved brother-in-law to Isabelle & Max Faulds, Olive & Dusty Bodnar, Dan & Pat Smith— a fun loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Larry’s kindness and humor were a blessing to all who knew him.
In this time of loss, Sue would like to extend her deepest gratitude to family, friends, and her church family for their prayers and kind support. Sue would also like to extend her profound appreciation to Dr. Solomon at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for his compassionate care and professionalism. Heartfelt thankfulness to Rev. Dr. Christine O’Reilly of Knox Presbyterian Church in Thedford for her trusted steadfast support and for officiating the private memorial service.
Larry’s memory will forever be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A husband, brother, uncle, friend.
For those who wish, donations in Larry’s memory may be made to Thedford Knox Presbyterian Church (KPC Thedford), SMGH Foundation (Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital), or the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society. Services are entrusted to Cremation and Celebrations, Grand Bend.

Dear Sue and all who loved Larry. He was such a great guy and Hugh spent much time with him on their treks together to work at Imperial Oil. Lots of laughs and good stories were shared. Those we Love remain with us
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one’s gone.
Those we love can never be,
more than a thought apart,
for as long as there is memory,
they’ll live on in our hearts.
Praying the lord will comfort you with his peace, surround you in his love, and encourage you with his presence.
For the Lord shall comfort you

My sincere condolences to Sue and her family at this time. Sending hugs of comfort.
Larry – a younger brother who with other brothers would cause nieces and nephews to squeal in terror and delight, until Grandpa roared for quiet. Then Larry would smile in innocence “Who me?” Loved greatly .
