Brian Kelly Harness—known affectionately to family as Kelly, to hospitality colleagues as Turbo, and to his wife, Susan Morrison, simply as Brian—was born June 22, 1966, and passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, surrounded by family and an immense outpouring of love.
Brian was the much-loved son of John and Mary-Ann Harness, the cherished brother of Michele Pizzimenti (Chris), and the proud godfather and uncle to Blake. In 2004, he married Annette Carr. Through Annette, Brian became a devoted stepfather to Kayne Carr (Lesley; children Sophia and Zachary) and Whitney Carr. When Whitney became a young mother, Brian and Annette lovingly cared for her daughter, Kaydence Carr, during her early years, and Brian remained a constant “Papa” throughout her life. He steadfastly loved and supported Annette through her battle with cancer until her passing in 2019, a loss he carried with grace and strength. In his years with Susan, Brian found a loving partner once again, and together they embraced life’s adventures, joys and challenges side by side.
Brian is also affectionately remembered by Kaydence’s stepfather, Adam Deary and Susan’s children, Christina Campo (Chris), and Salvatore Campo, with whom he shared relationships built on love, laughter, food, travel and mutual respect.
Brian (Chef Turbo) was also deeply respected in his professional life. His decades-long career in the hospitality industry included leadership and mentorship roles that left a lasting impact on those who worked with him. Countless colleagues from Son of a Peach Pizzeria, Fanshawe College Student Union’s restaurant (Oasis), Huron College, Fallsview Casino Resort, and more have shared stories of his humour, storytelling abilities, generosity, and the way he made people feel valued—whether by sharing a signature jalapeño cheddar soup recipe, offering guidance during tough times, or by ensuring no one went hungry on his watch.
Brian is survived by his wife Susan, mother and father Mary-Ann and John, his sister Michele (Chris), nephew Blake, stepchildren Kayne (Lesley) and Whitney, grandchildren Kaydence, Sophia, and Zachary, Susan’s children Christina (Chris) and Salvatore, Kaydence’s stepfather, Adam, as well as extended family, dear friends, and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annette.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 2–5 pm at RiverBend Golf Clubhouse, 1200 Sandy Somerville Dr, London, ON N6K 5R2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian’s name to the Canadian Sea Turtle Network or Liver Canada.

Michele, I’m so very sorry to hear about Kelly. I know how much you cared for your brother and I always enjoyed our Sunday morning talks at Archie’s where you would talk about him and his family at times. He was a well loved family man. Please know I wish I could be at the celebration of life with you. Lots of love to you, Chris and Blake.
Fond memories of Kelly as a teen, preparing and sharing gourmet recipes. He was delightful and so creative.

Brian/ Turbo has been my friend since almost the first day we met in culinary school. I loved his personality and his love for food and ppl. We grew closer through the years and always tried to stay in touch as much as we could. I will miss him and our friendship for sure!!
Turbo to me or Brian to others was an amazing man. I had the pleasure of working with Turbo at Fanshawe. Not only was he a boss to me but a guiding light to ensure I didnt stray to far from the right path. He was there for anyone who needed him. Being a shoulder to lean on or a plate of food so you didnt go hungry. But he was also a friend and we had a lot of laughs and fun times together. He will deeply missed. A true gem of a human being. RIP my good friend. Thoughts and prayers to the family at this tough time. Much love
Kelly was a good and caring human being who exemplified this through his interactions with others. His quick wit and culinary expertise kept us laughing and never hungry. He was my Brother in Law whom I referred to as another Brother. His presence will be greatly missed and I’m grateful for having known him over the years. My heartfelt condolences go to all who loved him.
