Diane Maisie (Parker) MacGregor passed away peacefully at Westmount Gardens, London, Ontario December 6th, 2024 shortly after her 90th birthday. Diane joins her beloved husband George, who passed away over 20 years ago. Diane was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the daughter of Elgin (Peck) and Ollivette (Ollie) Parker. Diane is predeceased by her brother, Donald. In 1959 Diane met the love of her life, George, who had worked with her Dad. They were married in Winnipeg, then moved to Windsor, and lived most of their married years in Chatham. They have two sons; Kevin (and Marj) and Christopher (and Noel). Cherished ‘Grammee Dee’ of Colin, Marissa (and Ron) and Andrew (and Melissa) and their 4 children Theo, Lincoln, Kai, and Cooper.
Diane loved her family and was active in her community. For many years, she enjoyed bowling, shopping, knitting and baking. As a member of Christ Church she would bake and cook meals, iron church linens, and send birthday greeting cards. She was always a great letter writer to her own parents in Winnipeg and other family members across the country, as well as addressing business or political matters. Diane also loved to travel to the West Coast to visit family and friends. Thanks to the neighbours and community of Chatham, the staff and parishioners of Christ Church, the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent, and the friends and staff at Westmount Gardens who have loved and supported her over the years.
A Celebration of Diane’s Life will take place at a later date.
Donations in Diane’s memory to Alzheimer Society Chatham-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
