With love and great sadness, we announce the passing of Karyn (Welsh) Parkinson. She passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the age of 75.
Karyn was the ever-tolerant wife of Ralph Parkinson for 55 years. She was the best mom in the world to Shawn (Agnes Zabinska) and Jay Parkinson. She was also a much-loved younger sister to Richard Welsh and Lynn Savage, and a beloved elder sister to Sheila Dunlop and Christopher Welsh. Proud grandmother of Jaykob and Tyler Bezeau. Cherished “Mother” to Joanne and Wayne Bezeau. Karyn will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Karyn had an undeniable and lifelong passion for horses and became a talented quilter in her later years. The love and care she poured into her quilts will be enjoyed for years by those lucky enough to have one. She loved spending time at the cottage and treasured watching the sunset over Lake Huron with Ralph. She spent her entire life in the country, where she found peace and tranquility surrounded by the many animals that she adored.
A celebration of Karyn’s wonderful life will be held at a later date.
So sorry to hear of your loss, I always love her smiling face Karyn. Thinking about all of you.

Dear Parkinson and Welsh families,
My condolences to each of you in the loss of Karyn. I have so many good memories of her as I tagged along with my “older” cousins back in the days. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Ralph, Shawn and Jason
We are sorry for your loss. We always enjoyed a chat with Karyn at the children’s activities when they were all growing up. In later years we enjoyed seeing Ralph and Karen at the classic car shows. Thinking of you at this sad time.

I have very fond memories of Karyn. May she rest in peace.
Ralph and family. l’m so sorry to read of Karyn passing. We go back a long way as we attended Prince Andrew school and Wesley Church on Sundays…It was nice to see you and Ralph at St. Marys car shows. RIP Karyn.
I was so sorry to learn that Karyn had passed away, and I extend my sincere condolences to Ralph and all your family as well as Karyn’s Welsh family brothers and sisters…Richard, Lynn, Sheila Chris and their families. Growing up on the 16th Concession of London Township, attending and walking to the one room school, SS 3& 10 until we rode the bus to the new Prince Andrew School and then Medway High, needless to say we spent a lot of time together. I had many sleepovers at the Welsh house and always admired how fun loving Karyn was and what a great laugh she had! Our paths crossed many times over the years and it was always good to catch up with her. May she rest now in peace.
Ralph, Shawn, Jason, Your Mom was the gentlest, kindest gal I ever met. We go back to public school, later you boys spent inseparable hours together at the farm and Jay visiting us in Oakville. Our summers were spent renting the cottage and always the pleasure of having Ralph and Karyn for dinner. We always had good laughs, and my kids adored her. She leaves a sad loss in all our lives.

I’m sorry to hear for your loss. Thinking of all of you.
Karyn used to be my step sister for 7 years (1967 to 1974). She often took me, her younger brother and my sister out for the countryside rides, for swimming in the beach (Port Frank), in a river, and in a water reservoir (or pond), for the movies at the silver screen theatres, and sometimes to the A&W drive-in in London. She was truly a down-to-earth, selfless family member. Fly freely, Karyn.
