Peacefully at LHSC- University Hospital, London on Saturday, November 25, 2023 of Thorndale and formerly of London at the age of 87. Dear wife of the late Charles B. Roberts. Loving mother of Anne, MaryLynn, Ernie, and Marty. Grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 3. Dear sister of Kenneth Hetherington and Jim Hetherington and aunt of Tom Hetherington. Predeceased by her first husband Gordon Bishop and her daughter Brenda.
Bessie was a talented seamstress, owning and operating Thorntowne Interiors for over 60 years. Music was her passion, which she shared with her family. Bessie and Chuck enjoyed many years performing with their band the Good Timers.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bessie’s life will be held at the Thorndale United Church (245 King St, Thorndale) on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 1-4PM. Words of remembrance will be held at 2 PM. Cremation & Celebrations, ARVA entrusted with arrangements.
Donations to Parkinson Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the OSPCA would be appreciated by the family.

Marty, Josie & family. Bessie was such a wonderful, sweet, talented lady. She always had a big smile on her face. I enjoyed our conversations when Bessie came to the post office. She would give us a big wave whenever she drove by our place. Rest in peace dear lady, you will be missed dearly by your family and friends. You can now play music with the angels.
